What is Aster+ Kameleon used for?

This single-shade dental composite is indicated for direct and indirect restorations in anterior and posterior teeth, including occlusal surfaces. It can also be used for core build-ups and dental splinting.

Its depth of cure of up to 3.5 mm allows it to be placed in increments of this thickness, in accordance with the manufacturer’s curing instructions. It is therefore useful for tooth reconstruction, including after endodontic treatment.

Technical properties of Aster+ Kameleon composite

Aster+ Kameleon has a flexural strength of 138 MPa and a compressive strength of 330 MPa. Its elastic modulus is 11.5 GPa, and its polymerisation shrinkage is 0.8%. Water absorption is 18.2 µg/mm³, while solubility is 0.5 µg/mm³.

The material is also easy to finish and polish, helping clinicians achieve smooth surfaces and a gloss suitable for aesthetic restorations.
