Dual Cem+ by Kiyomi Dental: dual-cure resin cement for cementation and core build-up

Dual Cem+ is a permanent dual-cure resin cement indicated for core build-up, margin elevation and adhesive cementation. It combines chemical curing and light curing to support polymerisation both in areas exposed to light and in deeper parts of the root canal or beneath thicker restorations.

Its paste-paste system, with base and catalyst in a 1:1 ratio, facilitates clinical application. The organic matrix contains the dental monomers TEGDMA, EBPADMA and UDMA. It has an approximate inorganic filler content of 40% by volume and 60–65% by weight, with particle sizes ranging from 0.01 to 3 µm. This formulation provides radiopacity and mechanical strength for cementation and restorative procedures.

The viscosity of Dual Cem+ promotes adaptation to cavity walls and root posts. Once polymerised, it can be cut in a way similar to natural dentine, making core shaping and prosthetic preparation easier. It is available in four shades to meet different aesthetic needs: Trans (Neutral), White (Light), A2 (Warm−) and A3 (Warm+).
